This Palm Coast boat adventure was absolutely amazing! Dave went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was comfortable throughout the entire tour. We saw both dolphins and manatees, and enjoyed a variety of speeds on the boat, which made the experience even more exciting. We were a party of six, including one person with mobility issues, and Dave made it work. His kindness, patience, and professionalism truly stood out. This was the highlight of our entire trip, and it’s an experience I’ll never forget. Thank you, Dave Taylor, for making it so special. You are truly amazing, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Palm Coast!

We had the most amazing day with Backwater Cat Adventures in Palm Coast! We took the 2 1/2 hour cruise up the Intercoastal and into some back waterways. We got to see dolphins and bald eagles, and stopped to venture around the fort. It was a wonderful day. Our guide was very knowledgeable! The boats are safe and incredibly fun and easy to drive. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a fun adventure. We took the 9 o’clock in the morning tour, but I hear the afternoon one/sunset is fun too. We wanted to be able to see lots of wildlife.

We had a great experience traveling up the intercoastal on the water and our local tour guide Dylan knew the long and fascinating history of Fort Matanzas. The view from the pristine river was incredible and so much more interesting than driving, parking, and walking. The boats were very fast and exciting.

Terrific thing to do for me as a local and with a visiting family member from up north. Seamless and quick little tutorial on the boat operation, then take it all in. Had a family of dolphins join us for a little while. Great fun. Thanks to our guide Dylan. You’re great!

we had a fun time. there was a little learning curve for the boats but not much. the only thing that disappointed us was the guy who did our tour said he would send our photos and never did. but the experience itself was great. update on 12/15/2025 - the owner reached out and got our photos sent.. very thankful. excellent service.

Our tour was amazing! The boats were a blast to cruise around on. The sunset tour was a perfect time of day with temperatures being perfect, beautiful sunsets, dolphins , sightseeing, and much more. David was an incredible tour guide David and Jen were both very hospitable and helpful. We had originally booked for a few weeks prior however, the weather was not safe to be out on the water. They were so accommodating in rescheduling and very responsive. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Very helpful and friendly staff. My son and I had a great time, the boats are a lot of fun to operate. It's a must do going forward whenever we are in the area. We were able to see dolphins right next to us, learned some history about the area and had a blast overall.

Exceptional adventure! This was our second tour with the Palm Coast crew. We love this ride and highly recommend this to those that enjoy being on the water with the sun and wind in your face. Dave was our guide and he was fabulous! And we saw dolphins within the first 10 minutes of our ride... super cute! Ladies, I suggest bringing a bandana or headband to keep the hair out of your face. Ball caps work but can very easily blow off. Wearing your bathing suit is a good idea, with maybe a teeshirt over it. This time I brought a towel and sat on it for use later when you run into some super soakers! It's bumpy at times, but completely safe and so much fun! Great activity with others, too! Enjoy!

You will not be disappointed. In fact, it will exceed your expectations. Allen prepared us well for this 2 1/2 hour adventure that we wish had gone on much longer. From operation to safety he made us feel at ease and ready to go! The scenery was spectacular and we floated amongst the largest pod of dolphins we’ve seen in one place. Plus the thrill of gliding across the intercoastal above sparkling blue green water. The boats are clean and well-maintained and easy to operate even for the novice boater. No doubt, it will become one of the best water adventure between Saint Augustine and Palm Coast. I took my 11 year old grandson along and he thanked me at least 5 times. Without question, we will be back.
