  Kevin was fantastic to work with. He was professional, reliable, and showed up when he said he would, which alone already puts him ahead of half the contractor universe. His work was high quality, detail-oriented, and reasonably priced, and he took the time to make sure everything was done right instead of rushing through the job. He communicated clearly throughout the process, kept the work area clean, and handled every project with care and professionalism. It’s hard to find someone dependable these days, and Kevin absolutely delivered. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, skilled handyman.

  I am 82 and always cautious of contractors. Smooth Sailin’ Handyman came highly recommended by my neighbor a few years ago and that is when I met Kevin Brown. He has always done excellent work for me and knows a little bit about EVERYTHING. If it’s something he can’t or won’t do, he has a network of licensed contractors for me to call. Always fair, courteous, dependable and trustworthy. I highly recommend him for anything you need!

  Kevin Brown has been a fixture at my recently purchased 20 year old home for about a month now. There were so many updates and changes needed. Here are some of the highlights: squared off an open wall area and installed a barn door, switched out my door locks, has switched out bathroom vanity light fixtures and added a motion sensor fixture in the garage. He oversaw the crew who retiled a bedroom floor and a shower floor to get rid of the step over. He rebuilt a closet, taking off the doors, rounding the drywall and adding shelves as requested. He refurbished another closet with shelving from another part of the house. He replaced many of my electrical outlets and light switches, power washed my driveway and from sidewalk, removed a light fixture so I could hang an outdoor sculpture, finished up drywall projects including painting, added grab bars and new shower head in the master shower. I’m sure I have forgotten something but the point is Kevin has a wide range of skills, is particular about his work, fair about pricing, dependable and tidy, and has a network of other community specialists (electrical, drywall and others) as well. For me, Kevin has helped me make changes to move into a home that is now ready and I’m so proud of my new space. How many times do we say - ‘ gosh I need this done but have no idea who to call?’ Well, if Kevin can’t do a repair/project himself, he has a source that can. I highly recommend Kevin. He’s the best!

  Kevin has done many jobs for me. Always there when he says, cleans up after the job is finished. He is extremely polite and knowledgeable.You can't go wrong with him.

  We hired Kevin to handle some odds and ends at a house where a parent passed away and the home needed some light rehab, his work was abysmal at best. The spackle needed 1-2 coats at best (and wasn't even sanded) and he just left it like that, missed waaaay more spots than any pro ever would on his paint work and his finish carpentry is just plain unforgivable, just see the photos... I think he just saw an opportunity and took full advantage of my sister who hired him, so sad to see. I would not consider this handyman in my opinion for anything.

  We needed to have our parents' bedroom painted so we looked on Next Door for some suggestions. We got recommendations for Smooth Sailin' Handyman from another person we had hired for plumbing (shoutout to Christopher Laymon) and contacted Kevin Brown. He and his associate did a spectacular painting job. When they finished everything was left neat and tidy. Believe me, you won't go wrong hiring this veteran owned company. They are _that_ good. :-)

  I highly recommend Kevin with Smooth Sailin Handyman Services, LLC. My daughter need lights, ceiling fan and shelves put up in a couple days prior to an event she was having. Kevin rearranged his schedule to accommodate and completed the job promptly and professionally with quality workmanship!
